Cветочb a russian gravity lamp
#1
Does anyone here know about a lamp called "Cветочb" ?
I believe it is a russian lampy ciśnieniowe.
Google shows nothing.
In polish the name should be "Pochodnia", The Torch.

I will post pictures soon when lamp arrives.

The burner seems to have a little from Lux-lamps and a little from Graetzin or maybe the other way around.

I tried make the writing more useable here:

СВЬТОЧЬ
Т-ВО СВБТЪ. С. П. Б
Прив. Nо 13369, 15319
5-ая Рождественская 44-12
Nо 10064

Can anyone here transform Idea ??
Looks partly like a adress to me.

It should be СВEТОЧЬ what in russian means torch as you mentioned earlie.

rest is the company name and address

Company СВEТЪ (what it means I do not know, I can not find siuch word in dictionary) but sounds like Light
rest is most probably address, but it have to be really old since such type of addresses do not exists any longer in russia.

I will try to contact my collegues in russia, might they will know more Smile

Mikolaj - i have talked to my Ukrainian friend in my Office and can say – congratulation of the product!
Of course we do not know what it is Smile but is really old.

This third strange letter in the product name with + is the letter “i” in Russian language in cyrylic alphabet today is “u” so its simple example that it’s written in old Slavic language, which is not in use more than 100 years.

Т-ВО СВБТЪ. С. П. Б = it means „Company World” S.P.B – S.P.B is type of Company like GmbH in Germany
Прив. Nо 13369, 15319 – what it means – no clue, can be region identification, like post code, but such ones today not exists.
5-ая Рождественская 44-12 – it is 5th rozshdenskaya street No 44-12

Wow that is very nice and usefull work Bury - Thanks a lot Smile I owe you one.
Please salute your russian contact and say thanks.

Now I have something to work with.
I did suspect the lamp was from the years before 1915.
Could he say if the "rozshdenskaya"-street was in Russia and even better - what city?
I will of course update if I find more information, as russian lamps is rarely seen.

A update and a new lampy for us to search forExclamation

Conny from CPL found this lamp on paper, close to mine:

http://www.classicpressurelamps.com/foru...ost/65741/

The drawing comes from a german, who made the drawing from a already existing russian lamp in 1910 from Sct Peterborg. Exclamation

So the origin lamp is older of course.

Just to be sure here Bury, could S.P.B. mean S.ct. P.eters B.org or is that just my imagination ??

Mikołaj, you might be right. This can really mean SanktPetersburgBurg. Again it's really rare and old finding.

Thanks Bury.
The lamp is really old and have some nice solutions.
Here below is the complete burner and some details.
The burner is 74 cm long and note the asbestos fuelfilter inside the burner and the very neatly done filter just before the jet.
If it wasnt for the big hole in the tank Confused I think I could fire it up.
I will be back with a actionpicture after repair Wink
