I just got this fine lamp. They dont show that often here in Danmark. Anyone who knows anything about it?
A Company called Day Lite from Ciemcy makes almost similar looking lamps and there also exist a Lohmann with similar look, but these lamps can only be attached to Picostar by the look.
If Day Lite produced the Picostar, then the Company was in Hamburg and is called "Meyer & Niss" but I have seen no papers supporting that.
The lamp is in good quality and I think it looks nice.

Nice lantern and quite rare.
As you wrote - there are no official informations about manufacturer - Day-Lite and Continental Licht are most suspected.
Years of prduction are also unknown - probably late 60 or early 70 Smile
Thanks Michal.
The lamps are usually marked CL on the control-wheel and that could be Continental Licht.
I find it strange that a factory making lamps like this in the 60-70's can disappear. It is not that long time ago and people there was working there should still be alive (some of them) and in this registration-society there already was back then. It should be possible to find loads of paper about this lamp.
It is not a scrappy lamp so the company must have had access to a fair production line to make these.
It is a long listed lamp on my wishlist so I am happy to have found one :O)

Martin Kiontke, a german from CPL sended this link:

This confirms that the "Metallwarenfabrik Meyer & Niss aus Hamburg - Bergedorf " made the DayLite and Picostar lamp.
They might even have made more brands.

Nice find!
I made a copy of those papers here: http://lampycisnieniowe.pl/forum/Thread-...i-Day-Lite as it is a hard to find info.
Also, date on the bottom of document shows 11/69 which gives us some more info about manufacturing years Smile
